Friends 4ever

So i read a book. what? that's a fact. Kate Andrew has written this book. This maybe has a whole series but i'm not sure because i have only read one.
Carrie (her name is actually Carrington which is a character from a TV series that Carrie hates, that's why she hates her name) Alex and Sky (Skyler) are best friends. They share almost everything together along with Sam and Jordan. But the 8 grade isn't all about them, there are also the Amys: Amy, Aimee and Mel (Mel is chinese)- the bossy girls who are always at the centre of attention. First part of the book is Alex being tricked by the Amys. Amy Anderson has a huge crush on Alex's brother, Matt, so she wants to be friend with Alex to get closer to Matt. Alex's friends (listed above :]) turn their backs to Alex for she hangs out to much with the Amys. Well, as you could have guessed, they worked it out. The second part is about Carrie just writing a story based on what have happened between them and the Amys (in part 1) for fun. Jordan is absent on the day that Carrie reads her story to the group so he decides to just borrow it silently to take a look. When he finds out that a book store has a story writing competition and he signs Carrie up. Carrie is stupefied because she doesn't want anyone to know about her story except her friends. It turns out Carrie wins. In part 3, Carrie decides that all of them can go to Wild World, the new amusement park, to celebrate. Sky in particular, can not afford to go there. Although everyone knows but Sky doesn't want anybody to pity her so she refuses to go because she doesn't want to. Her friends know and raise some money for Sky to come along but Sky refuses to accept the money. They try and try but it won't work. Sky gets mad and starts to hang out with the Amys. In the end, Sky realises that she should have never get too close to the Amys.
So this book is pretty cliche with lots of predictable things, that's the boring part of it. But afterall, it is pretty fun to read something so typical. it's fun to read, especially when you're bored :]
