This is the most adventurous of the three books, it is about a young girl in Ireland named Tess. She does not have any friends because her family moves around a lot, that is until she meets Kevin who shares the same gift as her... Being able to morph into any living thing! Apparently every child has the gift and if you don't discover it before your eight years old you don't get to keep it, but once the sun comes up on you fifteenth birthday you loose your power to switch and become whatever form you choose. But there's disaster in the Arctic and the Krools are waking up and causing havoc! Nobody knows what it is and how to stop it, they think its just weather. The only reference to it is Lizzy who might be a little crazy but was a switcher in her teen years, she says that the Krools are what took out the dinosaurs. Even though the chances of her telling the truth are slim, they go anyway. Tess then finds out that kevin's 15th birthday is only afew days away and he might be stuck in the Arctic... And she might lose her only friend. They need to find a way to fight the giant Krools in time.
