my family and other animals

'My family and other animals' book is basically about a imaginary family of the author Gerald Durrell, who went on a super duper fun vacation to Corfu, an island. He had a really insane family. His mother pretty much is a worried woman, so everything happened around the house freaked Gerald's mother out. Gerald was a boy who loved to collect animals [such as snakes, scorpion, pigeon etc.] Larry was Gerald's brother who mostly likes Gerald except for the collecting animals. His older sister Margo is a self centre and beauty lover. She was on every kind of diet to keep her thin, slim and anything looked good. She complained her family wildness all the time.

The family moved to Corfu, a beautiful and relaxing island. This is a brilliant opportunity for Gerald to have more wicked pet. His mother looked around the place for a villa which had a bathroom. But since none of the houses were accepted and agreed by Gerald's mother, the family had to live in a hotel. For a few days, the whole family found a perfect house to live. Their next door neighbor was a scientist, and he liked to collect strange, weird animals just liked Gerald.

While living in Corfu, Gerald had adopted and take from the wild were:

-achilles, the turtoise

-Quasimodo, the pigeon

-Ulysses the owl

-numerous spider

-Alecko the gull

ETC.

The book is very entertaining and can be read by a year 6 or above. There are some hard vocabularies that you wont understand.
