Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West,

This book is written by Gregory Maguire and it inspired 'Wicked' the musical.
This book concentrate on Elphaba ( the Wicked witch of the West) and her life. Elphaba was born to Melina Thropp and Frexspar in Munchkinland. She has moss green skin and sharp teeth. She has a sister, Nessarose, whose Dorothy's ( the girl from Kansas) house landed on and caused her to die.
Later on in the book, she went to Shiz university where she met Galinda from Gillikin ,Boq and later on, Fiyero ( a Vinkus prince).
Elphaba became Doctor Dillamond's lab assistance because she was drawn to Animal Rights.
After college, Elphaba lives in Emerald City and is secretly involved in helping to free the animals and to get rid of the Wizard of Oz and kill Madame Morrible.
If you've seen or read the Wizard of Oz, then you would know what happen at the end, although, it's not really the same and this book isn't exactly the same with the musical.
I personally think this book is really good and everybody can enjoy it. It is really long (about 495 pages) so if you like short stories then i wouldn't recommend this book to you. But overall, I would recommend this book to young adults and adults because it's suitable for them.
