
Then one summer, her mother decides to send her to her Aunt Mira. There, she automatically got a job and worked with people who really didn't like her much. But as she keeps working, she learns more about these coworkers. Once she got to know them, she realized that they had more in common than she thought. In the town of Colby, she was transformed into a totally new different person who had self-respect, stood up for herself, and made herself a better person. Just within one summer, she learned a lot.
I think that by reading this book it tells you that you may have hard times with school, socializing, and more, but most importantly, she learned what friendship is all about and learned to appreciate who she really is.
