Bad girls is about a poor girl who being teased and bully at school a lot and her name was Mandy. She was embarassed by her parents a lot especially at night. Mandy wished she was adopted so her adopted parents can be stylish and hippy unlike her real parents, who dressed really old and simple.
At school, Mandy know a girl called Kim who was the tallest and skinnest girl. Kim said "when she gets to 16 years old she will be a super model." Melanie and Sarah who were Kim best friends also compliment themselves just like Kim. But they were not beautiful and fit like their friends. As Mandy alway wished to be fit in and be one of the popular kid best friend she made up story about her adopted. instead of saying she wanted to be adopted Mandy said it as if her imagine mom and dad were real. Kim know that she is lying, because Melanie mom is Mandy mom best friend so they came over for tea mostly. They talked a lot about Mandy how she was a miracle child. Kim was so furious of liars so she chased Mandy around the school and outside the streets. As Mandy was escaping from Kim she didnt see where she was going a bus ran over her. When Melanie and Sarah saw the situations they all ran quickly away.
In my opinion, this is a tragic and really wonderful story to read because it is really easy to understand. furthermore, it tells us not to judge our parents and not making up lies to our friends. I recommend this fantastic book to primary children from year 4- year 6.
