Sixteen-year-old Caitlin is stunned by Lucas's striking looks the moment she sees him, a lone figure on the highway as she speeds past on the way home, which is an island off the coast of England called Hale. Although Caitlin is captivated by Lucas, in the eyes of most other people, he quickly becomes a target for bullying, envy, discrimination and hatred. I enjoyed this novel because it mirrors events and encounters that do and could happen in reality such as murder, deaths and tragedy and because this romance/realistic fiction novel is rather different from others.
