Tuesdays with Morrie

The second Mitch Albom's book that I read. Tuesdays with Morrie left a mark in my soul, making me ponder about the teacher-student relationship.

Maybe, it was a teacher? Or a grandparent? Someone old and wise, who has experienced life's obstacles, who know you better than you really do and who is always there to lift you up when you were young and impassioned. For Mitch Albom, it was Morrie Schwartz, the sociology teacher who has taught him more than twenty years ago. Perhaps... you want a second chance... to seek that person's compassion and advice for your bumping life. Mitch also got that chance when he sat down once more time with his beloved teacher, seeking wisdom about acceptance, communication, love, values, openness, happiness. He describes to Albom the importance to forge his own culture, in comparison to how popular culture has become a dictator under which human communities must suffer. The Tuesdays teaching go on, as Morrie slowly dying from ALS...

I really love this book, it has ,somehow, planted a new way I look at life... But I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone because it's not action-packed and anything. It's a serious book, and I am sure most of you would fall asleep from the second page. Still, it's a good book, reflecting how life becomes in a professor's eyes and the complex teacher-student relationships.
