This novel is set in a time after the ice age but before agricultural methods of farming have spread to Europe. When Wolf, Torak's cherished pack-brother and dearest friend is kidnapped in winter during a hunting trip, Torak becomes reckless and decides to chase after him no matter what. Eventually, they discover that the Soul-Eaters are responsible, a group of mages who intend to unite the clans and rule the land themselves by unleashing a horde of demons with the aid of the fire-opal and nine sacrifices- one of which is Wolf. Can Torak stop all darkness from breaking loose?
This novel belongs to the adventure/fantasy category. It's the third installment in the chronicles of ancient darkness and you can find the first two in the library.
