Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is kicked out of another boarding school again. From there, Percy goes with his Mom to the beach, where he meets the Minotaur and defeat him. But Percy's mom vanishes before his eyes and Grover, a friend, is a satyr. But that's the least of his troubles, mythological creatures, Gods has started entering Percy's life. And even worse, on his days at Half-Blood Hill, he is the prime suspect for the thievery of Zeus' master lightning bolt. Now Percy, along with Annabeth - the daughter of Athena - and Grover, have ten days to find and return Zeus' bolt to prevent the war between the gods. But to complete the quest, he must find out about his god father, the mysterious content hidden within the Oracle's riddle...
For some reason, I got glued to the book for a whole day and finished it on the morning of the next day. It was entertaining and action packed. But the main reason I was interested in this book because its main subject is the Greek Mythology. It is a main rival of Harry Potter, even has some certain aspects of Harry Potter: Houses are changed into cabinets,etc.
