The book was about a boy whose name is Alex Rider. His parents died when he was younger, since then he was living with his uncle, Ian Rider. His uncle, who was a secret agent, working for M/16,was killed. Alex Rider, who later finds out about his uncle’s dark past, is later Black mailed into working for MI6 he goes on several missions for them. The skeleton key is the third book in a series about Alex’s mission for M-16. in this book a mad man named Sarov, wants to adopt Alex. Alex knows Sarov has an evil plot to cause a major nuclear explosion that would devastate the world. Sarov then plans to start a new world as the leader. Alex is held captive by Sarov and is nearly killed when he tries to escape.
