I love this fantasy series 'Children of the Lamp' by P.B.Kerr. 'The Akhenaten Adventure' is the first book and i'm looking forward to read the rest of the 5-books-series (4 more to go!!).
We all think genie is just a fantasy and so do John and Phillipa Gaunt. But it's really weird when the two kids who appear to be normal. On their trip from New York to London to meet their uncle, Nimrod, they start to have incredible power (e.g giving people want they want, reading a thousand pages book in less than and hour). They finally find out they are genies. Nimrod, who is a experienced genie, teaches them who to use their power wisely. And their genie-training starts.
Fantasy and adventure, just as i like. Genie seems to be pretty much a fantasy but everything seems to oddly real in this book. It's like you're in 'Aladdin' while reading this book. I recommend this for great readers like Monica since there are millions of descriptive words (but you still can understand it).
