Tally has undergone the operation that has transformed her into a pretty, her greatest childhood dreams have finally been fulfilled. She's enjoying life at what she believes is at its fullest as she's best friends with Shay again, she has been proclaimed eligible for the crims clique that all her friends are in and she also has a dashing new boyfriend, Zane. What could possibly go wrong? But when she discovers a letter written by herself in the past explaining how the operation has messed up her mind, accompanied by two prototype pills that should remove her brain lesions , she and Zane take one pill each and both of them are eventually cured though there are some side effects. They attempt to escape their predicament and bring along the rest of the Crims, however, it's all easier said than done.
