I recommend this book for people who like digging holes. This is a story about Stanley Yelnats who gets incriminated and get two choices. Going to jail or going to camp green lake. Stanley Yelnat was chooses to go to camp green lake without knowing anything about it. The actual place is labouring scene where the lakes have dried up and get grouped up with Mr, Pendanski and others. Jose, Theodore and Ricky were his mates but they prefered being called as their nickname which is Magnet, Armpit and Zigzag. The leader was called X-ray and there was strange guy called Zero. His name is Hector but noone in the group knew that name. He was bothered to answer their questions and his mates started to call him Zero. Stanely and his mates had to dig the ground 5 feet wide and 5 feet deep each day. After mission accomplished, they were free on that day. There were no fence, no guard keeping the area. The area was totally deserted and nobody could survive out there more than 3days. Zero and Stanely gets very close and Stanely started to teach Zero alphabets and how to read and Zero started to help Stanley digging his hole. Zero was the fastest digger therefore he finished at the same time when Stanely did. Whenever they found new things while digging, they were ordered to report to mr, Pendanski or to the Warden and if Warden liked what he saw than person who found will get a day off. There was only one rule in Camp Green Lake. NOT TO UPSET THE WARDEN. Stanely was actually innocent but was incriminated that he stole the sneaker from the shop and he was sent to the Camp Green Lake. At the end the lawyer plead Stanely to get free.
