The Return Of The Black Company

This another book by Glen Cook and it's another series of the Black Company. In this series a a standard bearer of the black company writes to us of the black company having lost a battle. His name is Murgen and the reason that he is writing this is that he is hoping that this message will be passed on if he doesn't survive. He and a few survivors are in hiding. As the story progresses he acts like a guide to us.

Towards the end the Company regains power with Murgen as standard bearer again and this time they triumph over the Shadowlanders who had defeated them earlier in the story.
